Performance

Founded in Devon in 2003, the Amanti Ensemble was brought to life by soprano and cellist Janna Bulmer.
Originally perceived as an ensemble combining string quartet and soprano voice, the Amanti have performed at many well-received concerts in the Southwest, specialising in their own arrangements of operatic arias and songs.

To this, they added a wedding and function side, meeting popular demand for such a flexible approach. They have played at a great variety of events, from Viennese balls to a Teddy Bear Signing Day and Village Fetes. More regular appearances are at weddings, birthday parties and corporate dinners.

After specialising in the Cretan Lyra for her MA Music, Janna has given several lectures and performances on the Cretan Lyra. Most recently, she has added the Tarhu to the list of instruments she plays.
She can be heard on both instruments in performances of the group Nectarion.
